After being freed, these individuals decided to work together to stop Robotnik's evil plan. The echidna and the chameleon then ventured to the villain's carnival themed fortress, the Newtrogic High Zone, where the others were being held captive in the Combi Catcher. When Knuckles arrived, he managed to fend off the doctor trying to imprison Espio. Robotnik, who was using the island to harness the power of the Dark Rings. In Knuckles' Chaotix, Vector, Espio, Charmy, and Mighty crossed paths coincidentally after they each visited a mysterious island, which had risen from the depths of the ocean. Only players being controlled by the CPU are eligible for swap, unless the other player is holding A or X as well.
Change Character:Pressing a or X changes the current controlled character. Respawn –Players 2 and 3 can use a life to force a respawn by pressing C while the game is paused. Return to Title Screen – While game is paused, press A.
