Today, we’re pleased to announce that the Surface Pro 4 Type Cover with Fingerprint ID is now available for pre-order through, Surface partner retailers and Authorized Device Resellers in 26 additional markets, including Austria, Australia, Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Japan, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand and the United Kingdom. In October, we announced the Surface Pro 4 Type Cover with Fingerprint ID, which allows you to log in with your fingerprint on your Surface Pro 4 or Surface Pro 3.
Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 are equipped with Windows Hello cameras, but a lot of our Surface Pro 3 customers want to use this feature as well.
In addition, some users reported a plastic bump on their Type Cover. We’ve heard from a lot of customers that they really love the convenience and security of Windows Hello, which allows them to log into their device with just a look or a touch. If the Surface Pro 4 Type Cover is not working, the connector may have an issue.
